We are glad to officially announce NextID’s integration partnership with premier governance data hub Dhive.
Join us for an explanation of this partnership and an interview with Dhive’s Snowdot.
Next.ID aims to provide a universal decentralized identity solution that empowers Web3 developers to build their applications without spending too much time on identity or credential puzzles.
Specifically we mean puzzles such as,
1. Proof services: Aggregate identities across Web2 and Web3
2. Relation Services: Social graph databases show relationships between Web2 and Web3 identities
3. Auth Service: Quickly re-authenticate users with Avatar or wallet signatures rather than passwords
Dhive is a premier governance data hub, whose platform offers insights into governance, proposal monitoring, and information on Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).
Through Dhive users can monitor governance proposals, engage in decentralized forums, and get personalized notifications about what’s relevant to them. By gathering governance proposals in one place, and encouraging open discussions, Dhive makes decentralized decision-making easier and more transparent, supporting Mask Network’s goal of a smooth transition from Web2 to Web3, and helping to grow and improve decentralized networks for everyone.
✅ Data Aggregation
Aggregation of on-chain and off-chain data into a single, easily accessible location, providing analytics and meaningful insights into governance-related data.
✅ Trusted Credentials
Chain-agnostic credentials that allow for the verification of participant identities and history, enhancing the reliability and integrity of governance participation.
✅ Custom Notifications
A custom notification system designed for governance activities, addressing the issue where key governance notifications often get lost among numerous other announcements.
The partnership between Dhive and Next.ID was formed during the ETHGlobal Hackathon, a pivotal moment that showcased the potential of combining our technologies to enhance the Web3 ecosystem.
Dhive chose Next.ID for its ability to display chain-agnostic credentials on user profiles, improving transparency, trust, and the reliability of governance participation. This integration fills an existing gap related to the absence of credentials, which can lead to potential trust and credibility issues.
Dhive is a prime example of how Next.ID’s solutions can be effectively implemented. By using Next.ID, Dhive enhances the user experience by providing a trustworthy and transparent platform for governance participation. This integration promotes deeper community involvement and more informed collective decision-making.
We recommend Web3 builders and users explore Dhive to see the benefits of this integration in action. Visit their website at https://dhive.io/.
To gather more insights from the Dhive team, we had several questions for them. Snowdot from the Dhive team provided detailed answers, and we are very appreciative. Let’s check it out:
How Dhive met Next.ID
“We discovered Next.ID at the EthOnline 2023 hackathon, where we built Dhive’s prototype. Wei (BinaryHD) from Next.ID reached out to us on Discord and introduced us to Next.ID and Mask Network. His support was invaluable as we developed our prototype. The positive feedback from the community and the “Most Refined Project” award from Mask Network validated our efforts and gave us the confidence to seek funding and continue building Dhive. We are deeply grateful to Mask Network, Arbitrum, and ENS DAO for their support, which enabled us to build our MVP.”
Why Dhive Choose Next.ID
“One of our platform’s core features is linking identities to addresses to increase trust and credibility in a space often filled with bots. We chose Next.ID for its chain-agnostic credentials, which provided exactly what we needed. It was fast and easy to integrate, and the universal API saved us significant development time. On Dhive, profiles display voting history and the identities linked to wallet addresses, covering both web3 and web2 worlds (e.g., ENS, Lens, X, GitHub profiles).”
Dhive team introduction
“We are a duo of independent developers in the crypto space, myself and 0xSamix, each specializing in distinct but complementary areas: ui/ux & frontend and backend, database & devops. At this early stage, having just released our MVP, we manage all aspects of the project ourselves. This includes developing the platform, engaging with various DAOs to understand their needs, and handling social media. As we grow, we hope to expand our team, depending on the project’s overall success.”
How did you come up with the idea to create the Dhive application?
“We wanted to create a useful application that fills a market gap. We noticed a lack of tools providing granular governance data and detailed analysis for DAOs. Existing solutions are often expensive or have complex ui/ux, making them challenging to use. Dhive solves these problems by offering a more accessible and user-friendly platform.
Our goal is to make governance data accessible and break it down into easy-to-understand bits of information, and there are a few things that make Dhive stand out:
Free for users: Dhive is intended to be free for users. While we may consider monetization strategies in the future, this will not impact the accessibility of the core platform.
Simple UI/UX: We prioritize simplicity and ease of use, reflected in our UI/UX, allowing users to easily find the information they’re looking for.
Data aggregation: Dhive aggregates both on-chain and off-chain governance data, removing the hassle of navigating multiple platforms.
Chain-agnostic credentials: Profiles on Dhive have chain-agnostic credentials (e.g., ENS, Lens profile), which increases trust and credibility in a space often filled with bots.
Decentralized notifications: Our platform includes a decentralized notification system so users can better follow and react to proposals.”
How Dhive Makes a difference by using Next.ID
Dhive is a great use case for Next.ID. It uses Next.ID to display chain-agnostic credentials on user profiles, enhancing transparency, trust, and the reliability of governance participation. This integration fills in an existing gap related to the absence of credentials that might lead to potential trust and credibility issues. We certainly recommend Web3 builders/users to explore Dhive.io to see this in action.
