Reporting to the Director of Marketing - UK & DACH, you’ll be joining our fast-paced, friendly marketing team, based in Canary Wharf on a hybrid working arrangement, with frequent travel in Europe.

As our Head of European Events, you will be planning and delivering a variety of events to engage, educate and delight our clients and the public and further strengthen our brand.

This role is a great opportunity for an events enthusiast with 5+ years of event management within the finance/investment/fintech sector and ideally with some broader marketing exposure.

The role will be split into two key areas: industry events and client events.

Industry events: You will plan, negotiate and manage eToro’s presence at various exhibitions and conferences across Europe, working with the Regional Managers to maximise eToro’s attendance through organic and sponsored appearances.

Client events: You will be responsible for the full end-to-end planning, management, and delivery of a number of in-person events of different sizes on a monthly basis, prominently in the UK, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, but also supporting other key markets including but not limited to Spain, Italy, France, Poland, Romania, Czech, and the Netherlands.

As we proudly sponsor 14 sports teams across UK and Europe many events we host are in partnership with the clubs, however, we also run many hospitality days, client dinners, ‘meet-ups’, and seminars for prospective clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, delivering, and attending engaging events that strengthen our brand and successfully contribute to company objectives and overall marketing goals.
• Client-focused delegate management including invitation production, joining instructions, and at the event.
• Manage the annual events budget for London, Germany and industry events.
• Working closely with the broader marketing team and regional manager to ensure events are part of the overall integrated marketing plan.
• Managing all required marketing materials, event branding, and gifts from ideation to delivery.
• All administrative tasks relating to events - negotiating deals, managing contracts, invoices, etc
• Supporting other marketing projects from time to time.
• Regular European travel to ensure the smooth running of events.

Requirements:

What we’re looking for:

• 5 years+ experience in a similar role
• Professional hands-on experience planning and running events, including budget, stakeholder, and logistics management.
• Super-organized, and detail-oriented, with experience in project managing multiple events at one time
• A flexible approach, able to think quickly and independently to resolve unexpected glitches to ensure events run seamlessly.
• Enjoy building relationships, comfortable negotiating, and influencing.
• A great communicator.
• Enthusiasm to drive projects through to completion
• Someone with an eye for design
• Investment/Finance/Fintech Industry event knowledge is highly desirable
• Excellent spoken and written English (someone who speaks another European language would be an advantage but not essential)
