FinTech Group in Rakuten develops and provides a wide variety of financial services, including credit cards, banking, securities, insurance, e-money, mobile payments, and cryptocurrency transactions, and those are now playing a very important role in “Rakuten EcoSystem” that has over 70 services in the world.

Department Overview

FinTech Strategy Division in Rakuten Card has a vision to increase the synergy among financial services and expand “Rakuten EcoSystem” through it. Based on that vision, we are proceeding a lot of activities for FinTech strategies, planning, development and marketing etc., collaborating with companies which are providing financial services.

The Security Promotion Group in this division strengthens the defense capability against cyber criminals in Rakuten's FinTech business and provides secure services to benefit all users of the Rakuten Group.

Position Details

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the entire Systems Division, including strengthening governance and optimizing processes at each FinTech business.

You will be able to engage in security-related work or system auditing, and make a significant contribution to improving internal security.

In addition, you can be involved in compliance work for FinTech Group companies and Rakuten Group as a whole through acquisition of Privacy Mark, ISMS promotion, PCIDSS compliance, etc., and support safe service provision to 100 million members.

Formulation and review of rules related to information security
Educational activities regarding information security
Take charge of the secretariat for acquisition and renewal of external certification
Promotion of ISMS within the organization

Mandatory Qualifications

Basic knowledge of security technologies
Experience in information security risk analysis
Basic knowledge of risk management or system auditing
Basic knowledge of ISMS, JSOX, PCIDSS
Experience in anti-fraud countermeasures in payment systems, etc.
ISMS secretariat experience
Experience in privacy mark secretariat
ISMS consulting experience

Desired Qualifications

Various certifications in information security (CISA, CISSP, etc.)
Experience in CSIRT (SOC) operations
ISMS consulting experience
Experience working with information security at financial institutions

This position will be employed by Rakuten Group, Inc. and will be seconded to Rakuten Card Co., Ltd.
