On June 10, Selene, the CMO of Theia, was invited to the AMA about Theia, in the REI Network international community. Selene explained the project’s features, the strategy they will implement to bring newbies into the project, and so on.

Q1：First, would you mind sharing with us a general introduction to Theia?

A1：Theia is a Metaverse GameFi, it combines NFT, DeFi with video game. It supports NFT mystery box purchase and auction, free trading, NFT fusion and destruction, stake mining, DAO governance , etc. Through simple and interesting gameplay, users can not only get delicate NFTs, but also play to earn.

Theia is an integrated game platform that aggregates entertainment, finance and social interaction， it brings more imagination and trading scenarios to the future of Metaverse.

At present, we have deployed on the BSC Chain, Harmony and Rei networks, and the Near network is under development. The future is multichain, and Theia will be deployed on more chains where Theia gets more users’ concern.

Q2: Could you share with us the features of Theia? What makes Theia different from other Gamefi projects?

A2: 1. Theia is a play to earn game with extreme deflation.

Whether it is token TIA or spaceship NFT, we have designed a lot of application scenarios and consumption scenarios to promote the use and circulation of TIA and spaceship NFT, and ensure the deflationary model of the entire game.

2. Our game is an interstellar space exploring game applied to the mobile, PC, and VR game platform in the future, which can achieve beautiful picture quality and guarantee to play anytime and anywhere without the limitation of time and space.

3. The most important point is that through different gameplay and experience in Theia, users can feel every part in the game has output, consumption, and connection. Therefore, all assets are closed-loop inside the system.

Q3: What is Theia’s game mechanics like? Will there be tokens in Theia? What is the use of tokens?

A3: The underlying economy of Theia is powered by a sustainable dual-token economy system:

-TIA, core value token

We have designed many TIA application scenarios to ensure the deflation and demand of TIA.

E.g:

- Purchase of space magic box

- Transactions and fees in the NFT trading market

-NFT synthesis fee

- Mining and governance

- ENG, functional token

ENG can be obtained by destroying spaceships. We also designed some key scenarios for ENG to motivate users to destroy redundant spaceships and make idle assets more valuable.

-Bounty Center-Lucky Planet, destroy ENG to participate in the lottery

Q4: What do you think about the partnership between REI Network and Theia, and what will bring to each other?

A4: The predecessor of Rei network is GXChain, which is an old public chain with deep accumulation and experience in the industry. It can adapt to changes in the industry, constantly change and upgrade itself, which is very similar to the style of our team.

With its advantages in using the Typescript programming language, Rei network is more friendly to traditional game developers, allowing any programmer with development experience to quickly get started with the Typescript language and develop GameFi on the chain.

We are very optimistic and willing to cooperate with such a team, and look forward to common development and progress with REI network.

Through this cooperation, we will bring more application scenarios and game users to the Rei network, and also increase the usage scenarios and liquidity of REI. The Rei network also gave us a lot of support, whether in terms of funding or marketing, which was very much needed in the early stages of our project.

Q5: When will Theia be deployed on REI Network? Can you share with us the marketing schedule after that?

A5: We completed the deployment of Theia V1 version on the main network of REI network on June 8th. From June 14th to June 21st, we will start the first round of time box sales, which is different from the previous one. We will use REI as a payment token for sale, and friends who are interested in Theia are welcome to participate at that time.

Q6: What do you think of Gamefi’s development now? Do you believe that every gamefi has a 「death spiral」? How can Theia avoid the problem?

A6: We think there are 3 major pinpoints in the industry. First, Current GameFi model can not self-sustain and, GameFi contents often time cannot really support the Value of its in-game assets. Third, We think the real demands from blockchain-gamers are not fulfilled yet. On the other hand, we do see this industry has a huge potential,

It has large User Base, not fully explored Composability and unknown possibilities.

We don’t know what the most exact way Web3.0 will be in the future, but it’s definitely not in its current form.

Just like we did not even think of the current market shape of this DeFi three years ago.

This means a lot of opportunities, as well as risks.

At present, it is an undercompetitive market, we appreciate every explorer, and we are willing to continue to be an explorer.

Q1: Why do we need to own $TIA, what benefits does it have to be profitable for users? To ensure your strong growth, do you have a plan to build a strong community with many members who understand and are loyal to the foundation?

A1: In Theia, $TIA is mainly used for the purchase of mystery boxes, NFT transactions and handling fees, the activation of mining card slots, and the consumption of game scenarios. Among them,some $TIA will be used by consumers to buy mystery boxes, 50% of which will be destroyed by the platform, the remaining 45% will be entered into various prize pools, and 5% will be rewarded as incentives for user invitations. These design mechanisms can secure the deflationary model and circulation of $TIA, thereby ensuring the value of $TIA.

Theia has established user communities in both telegram and discord, and will also organize some bounty activities in it from time to time. Interested partners can enter our community from the official website and become the early contributors of Theia.

Q2: What are the ways that Theia generates profits/revenue to maintain your project and what is its revenue model ? How can it make benefit win-win to both invester and your project?

A2 Theia’s revenue mainly comes from the following aspects:

1. Sales of NFTs

2. NFT transaction fee

3. The appreciation of $TIA

Users participate in mining through NFT to obtain $TIA, and consume TIA/NFT to participate in various mining farms/bounty center activities of Theia to earn more $TIA income, thereby capturing game value.

Q3: According to the roadmap, What are your most important next priorities? Does your team have enough funds and strong community to achieve those milestones?

A3: Next, we will open the sales of our first batch of time boxes on REI Network from June 14th to June 21st. After users buy the time box, they can open the box to get A-D spaceship NFT. The higher level of the spaceship, the higher the computing power will be. And the reward bonuses obtained in the mines and bounty centers (which will be launched recently) will also rise unceasingly.

Q4: Nobody can guarantee the security of Smart contract. But Audit plays an important role to find out the known bugs of smart contract. Can #Theia tell us describe how strong is your security? Has #Theia done an audit by any third party ?

A4: The design of Theia uses a lot of smart contracts. Although there is no audit yet, we have already contacted well-known audit institutions to schedule. After the audit report comes out, we will synchronize with you on Twitter, so stay tuned.

Q5: Can you show me $TIA token distribution? What are the additional benefits of holding your tokens over those that don’t hold $TIA token and is there also any benefits for long term holders?

A5: By holding $TIA, in addition to obtaining the value of $TIA itself, it can also be used to increase the value of the spacecraft NFT and participate in mining farms to obtain more $TIA. If you hold $TIA for a long time, you can also participate in DAO governance in the future.
